أسئلة شائعة حول تقنية Merus
Multiple monitoring methods are available to measure and verify the performance of Merus technology. We conduct comprehensive data collection before and after installation, including corrosion coupon measurements, pressure and flow monitoring, visual inspections, and laboratory analysis. This documentation provides clear evidence of the technology's impact on your specific application.
Installation requires only insulation tape and typically a moisture or rain protective wrapper. The Merus Ring is clamped around the outside of the pipe. No direct contact with the fluid inside is needed, and no specialized equipment or pipe modification is required. Our technicians provide on-site support for proper placement verification.
No filtering occurs. Soluble substances in the fluid remain dissolved. However, the Merus Ring influences the behavior of these substances, preventing them from depositing on pipe walls and equipment surfaces. Existing deposits are gradually dissolved and flushed out during normal operations.
Various Merus Ring configurations handle different capacities. For industrial oil and gas applications, we have treated flows exceeding 10,000 cubic meters per hour. We provide different ring types optimized for small and large flow volumes.
The Merus Ring delivers results at fluid temperatures above 300 degrees C (570 degrees F). The outside surface temperature of the pipe should not exceed 90 degrees C (194 degrees F). The fluid must remain in a liquid state for the technology to be effective.
Under optimal conditions, the longest tested effective distance reached 30 km in deep-sea oil industry applications. Coverage may decrease in the presence of electrical machinery near the ring. Our engineers assess each installation to determine optimal ring placement.
The number of rings depends on the pipe size, flow rate, and specific application. For large industrial applications, our engineering team conducts a detailed assessment of your system to determine the optimal number and placement of rings for maximum effectiveness.
The effect typically remains constant and does not deplete. The Merus Ring works more like a CD than a battery, maintaining its properties over time. Effects may occasionally vary due to changes in process conditions, which can be addressed by repositioning or adding rings.
